Hattie's Garden is a small market-garden in Lewes DE. Hattie grows Specialty Cut Flowers in Spring and Summer and delivers fresh salad greens and other cool weather crops during the fall and winter months. Hattie grows everything without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides. She is a strong proponent of sustainable agriculture and has joined the movement in the United States to increase the availability of locally grown products to local people.
During the warmer months Hattie's Garden sells bouquets, herbs and specialty gourmet vegetables at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market from 8 to noon on Saturdays and at the Rehoboth Farmers Market from 3pm to 7 pm. on Tuesdays. Both markets plan to be open from early June through September for the 2007 season.
