Kohlrabi--
If you have never tried Kohlrabi, you are in for a treat. It can be eaten raw (and is great with a little lemon juice), and it can be cooked. The large bulb grows above ground in spring. The leaves are also edible and are often used for stir-fry. Peel the outside if you are eating it raw or steam or boil it whole as you would carrots, and then remove the peel.
